Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the surgical team in the Operating Rooms. The RN will assess perioperative needs, plan and document care, and ensure aseptic technique while supporting the recovery and pain clinics as needed.

The role includes night shifts, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and access to UnityPoint Health’s Total Rewards program. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program.
• Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
• BLS certification is required.
• CORE if weekend package associate.
• Multicultural sensitivity.
• Critical thinking and independent judgment.
• Basic computer skills: MS Office, web, email.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs preoperatively and plan intraoperative care.
• Document nursing care and provide handoff reports.
• Deliver high-quality, aseptic nursing care per policy and standards.
• Assist in pre-and post-operative care as needed and support surgical teams.
