Job summary

Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center and Banner Boswell Medical Center's Operating Rooms seek an RN Navigator to coordinate patient and physician needs, review case requirements, ordering of instrumentation, and vendor communications for operating room procedures.

You will also oversee education and onboarding of new RNs, work with the clinical manager and surgeons, and adapt to a flexible Monday-Friday schedule for team meetings and community events at Banner Health facilities.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice and BLS certification.
• Minimum three years of related clinical experience with demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient and physician needs for specialty procedure departments.
• Oversee quality, risk management, safety, and nursing standards; serve as a role model for clinical competency.
• Plan and direct daily patient care; delegate and supervise activities of the healthcare team.
• Communicate scheduling to clarify procedures, protocols, and inventory descriptions.
• Precept, mentor, and orient staff when appropriate; support staff development.
• Collaborate with leadership on equipment requests and budgeting for procedures.
• Interact with clinicians, vendors, and staff to ensure smooth operations.
