Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at Fairfield Hospital. The OR RN will apply strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status and develop care plans across pre-, intra-, and post-operative stages.

Responsibilities include collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, patient assessments, safeguarding the surgical environment, and coordinating needs with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with an accredited nursing degree (ADN/BSN).
• Current state RN licensure in Ohio.
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS certification preferred or may be required within 6 months depending on department.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments in the OR.
• Monitor patient status and coordinate with surgical team and other providers to maintain a safe environment.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op nursing care and discharge instructions.
• Perform nursing tasks and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Adhere to department policies and participate in continuing education.
