Job summary

Whitecap Search Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room in Springfield, MA. The role is onsite, 14-week assignment, day shift with 10 hours/day across 4 days/week, at a rate of $78.45 per hour.

The RN will prepare the OR, pass instruments, monitor vitals, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure optimal patient care and documentation. BLS and ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 2 years of operating room RN experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for procedures and ensure sterility.
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and provide interventions during surgery.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records.
• Provide post-operative care and education to patients and families.
