Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room - Main to serve as the circulating RN. The role performs perioperative duties, administers medications and monitors patient status in a fast-paced OR setting.

Responsibilities include creating care plans, documenting care, coordinating with surgeons and team members, and providing patient and family education. Shift is days, with a 0630-1900 Saturday through Monday, and a $20k sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• BSN must be completed within 60 months of hire or have 5+ years RN experience (including direct patient care or indirect RN roles) at the time of hire.
• Associates or Diploma in Nursing is required for staff who care for stroke patients—see addendum.
• Bachelor's in nursing (BSN) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• The RN follows ANA standards and code of ethics to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Records medical history, administers medications, starts IVs, and coordinates with physicians.
• Educates patients and families on disease management, home care needs, diet, nutrition and exercise.
• Precepts new staff and students and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care.
• Maintains current knowledge in nursing practice and participates in evidence-based improvement efforts.
