Job summary

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the University of Minnesota Medical Center East Bank OR Advanced Endoscopy Team in Minneapolis, MN. The RN will support an all-adult patient population and operate within a team including surgical technologists, nursing assistants, schedulers, instrument technicians, and MDs.

Responsibilities include establishing a safe perioperative environment, applying aseptic technique, coordinating care with the health team, and ensuring quality

Qualifications

• Active MN Registered Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required (AHA or Red Cross).
• Operating Room RN experience and/or a certificate.
• Completion of AORN Peri-op 101 course and/or OR internship experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and expected nursing outcomes.
• Collaborate with patient and family to develop an integrated care plan.
• Develop individualized plans based on age, condition, and needs.
• Evaluate care and patient response to interventions.

Skills

MN RN license

BLS (AHA/Red Cross)

OR RN experience

AORN Peri-op 101 course

Surgical tech OR internship experience

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
