Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room for a full-time, day-shift position. You will provide specialized perioperative care, perform assessments, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Candidates must hold an active RN license, with a BSN preferred. BLS is required; ACLS/PALS and Handle with Care are desired. Weekend on-call and on-call rotation may apply as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS, PALS and Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation of medical necessity in the medical record.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
