Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room in Colorado. The role requires an Associate's Degree, RN license (DORA), and OR experience or Periop 101 completion. ACLS and BLS are mandatory; CNOR is preferred.

You will assess patient needs, develop care plans, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safety and quality outcomes. Responsibilities include administering care and medications, documenting accurately, and supervising staff while promoting

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• 1 year of OR experience or completion of Periop 101 required.
• BLS/CPR from AHA or Red Cross required.
• ACLS from AHA required.
• RN license from DORA required.
• CNOR preferred.
• Adherence to ANA standards of professional nursing practice and accrediting body standards.
• Ability to use medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
• Microsoft Office Suite required; EPIC documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, record, and report symptoms, patient-condition changes, and vital signs.
• Modify patient treatment plans based on patient responses and conditions.
• Develop and modify patient care plans based on patient responses and conditions.
• Prepare patients for and assist with examinations and treatments.
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.
• Direct and supervise less-skilled nursing/healthcare personnel.
• Instruct individuals and families on health education, disease prevention, and aftercare.
• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
• Administer, document, and reassess medications.
• Promote positive patient experiences.
• Apply critical thinking, evidence-based practices, and competence to promote patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Utilize the Theory of Human Caring and Caritas in daily practice.

Requirements
