Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a focused RN for the Operating Room at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in North Carolina. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week with rotating day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays, and no on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where providing care.
• BLS certification required; other certs as needed for specialty.
• BSN preferred and advancement opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with the care team.
• Uphold a culture of safety and evaluate outcomes, taking action as needed.
• Administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Communicate effectively and support team functioning and delegation.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain required certifications.
• Adhere to ANA Code of Ethics and ensure ethical patient care.
• May float to other units as needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation.
