Avera McKennan is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time day shifts at the Avera Orthopedic Hospital’s Louise Health Campus. The role provides nursing care, coordinates with the care team, and supports patients and families to understand conditions and care plans.

Responsibilities include reviewing prescriptions, developing care plans, teaching patients, documenting care, maintaining safety and infection-control practices, and ensuring effective teamwork in a dynamic clinical setting.

Formación

• Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to understand and relay patient conditions, medications and self-care instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the care plan.
• Develops nursing care plans by obtaining histories, examining patients and documenting status.
• Teaches patients and families about conditions, medications and self-care.
• Maintains infection control, medication storage, and safety standards in the care environment.
• Documents care services and coordinates with the health care team for ongoing treatment.
