Job summary

MUSC Health in Charleston, SC is looking for a Radiologic Technologist who will provide technical and clinical support to the Imaging department. Responsibilities include operating X-ray equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

The ideal candidate must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and possess a comprehensive skill set in imaging modalities. This role requires a team player who can work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.

Qualifications

  • At least two years of modality specific work experience required.
  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

  • Provide technical and clinical support to the Imaging department.
  • Operate X-ray equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

Job description

Job Description Summary

Responsible for providing technical and clinical support to the Imaging department. Operates X-ray equipment for diagnostic and/or therapeutic purposes.

Schedule

Monday – Friday 4–10 hour shifts 7am – 5:30pm with 1–2 possible late shifts a week. Flexible call schedule (roughly 8 per month) varies with rotation.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Knowledge of EPIC software
  • Familiar with PACS archiving
  • Knowledge of Hybrid Siemens equipment/Advanced Vascular features & Troubleshooting (Pheno/Zeego)
  • Knowledge of Siemens Portable C-arm functions to include digital subtraction, road mapping, measurements etc.
  • Familiar with Vascular supplies to include balloons, diagnostic catheters, wires, sheaths etc.

Career Requirements

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Experience: At least two years of modality specific work experience required. Registration/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Skill Set: Fully competent in advanced modality skill sets and flexible to rotate.
