Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Nashville is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support the OR Pharmacy, assisting pharmacists with preparation, dispensing and distribution of medications in a fast-paced environment.

Hours are 5:00am–5:00pm with every 3rd weekend rotation; certification through PTCB or NHA is required to be considered. The role emphasizes inventory control, customer service and operating pharmacy computer systems.

Qualifications

Certified Pharmacy Technician through PTCB or NHA is required to be considered.
Must be a certified pharmacy technician with relevant program completion.
Hours can range between 5:00am and 5:00pm with every 3rd weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
Performs activities as directed by Pharmacists and/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with laws and policies.
Delivers outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
Additional duties may be assigned.
