Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for the OR Pharmacy to support pharmacists in preparation, dispensing and distribution of medications. The role includes inventory control processes and customer service within a hospital setting.

Hours are 5:00am–5:00pm with rotation every 3rd weekend. Certification through PTCB or NHA is required to be considered for the position. This is a hospital-based opportunity at Vanderbilt University Hospital.

Qualifications

Allied health roles support patient care in hospitals.
Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in medication prep and dispensing.
Compliance with regulations and hospital policies is essential.

Responsibilities

Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
Performs activities as directed by Pharmacists and/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with laws and policies.
Delivers outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
