Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification: BLS Certification preferred.
• Skills: Basic understanding of mechanical equipment and ability to respond to life threatening situations.
• Must multitask effectively with strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of supply chain/materials management and of surgical/anesthesia procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepares operating rooms for surgery by assisting with equipment and supply needs, setup, and routine maintenance.
• Assists OR team with room turnover, patient beds, and transportation of case carts.
• Maintains inventory of relevant surgical supplies and equipment.
• Transports patients, labs, gross specimens, and blood as necessary.
• Assists anesthesia team by creating all IVs and IV setups.
• Sets up offsite anesthesia cases by transporting gas machines and Pyxis back stands.
