Job summary

US Fertility is seeking an OR/PACU RN for a per diem role at our Stony Point location in Virginia. The schedule is three days per week (varies), one weekend per month, and two holidays per year, typically 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

You will join a nationally respected organization, collaborating with more than 200 physicians nationwide, and provide care across the perioperative continuum with a focus on patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• 2–3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU preferred.
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems and formulate a plan.
• Perform initial preoperative assessment and outline subsequent surgical phases.
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patient and family.
• Demonstrate proficiency caring for patients with various anesthesia or sedation.
• Administer medications by IV and other routes as directed.
• Provide patient education.

Opportunity Overview
We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Stony Point, Virginia.

• Schedule: Per Diem; Three days per week (varies), one weekend per month and two holidays per year, between 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM
  
• Compensation: $37 to $38 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In This Role, The OR/PACU RN Will

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
• Provide patient education

• Active RN license
