Job summary

Shady Grove Fertility in Fairfax, Virginia, is seeking an OR/PACU RN for a part-time role. The position offers weekend coverage (Sat/Sun) with specific shift times and compensation of $40–$45 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification are required.
• 2–3 years of Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred.
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills are expected.
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans.
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develop a plan of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgery.
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members.
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation.
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed.
