Job summary

US Fertility in Fairfax, Virginia, is seeking an OR/PACU RN (Part-Time) to join our team. The role involves preoperative planning, perioperative care, and supporting patients through recovery with a focus on safety and compassionate care.

The successful candidate will have an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, 2–3 years of OR/PACU experience, and strong assessment and communication skills. Weekend shifts and a competitive hourly rate are offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• 2 to 3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred.
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems and formulate a plan.
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develop a plan of care, and explain subsequent surgical phases.
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patient and family.
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients with various anesthesia or conscious sedation.
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed.
