The University of Rochester Medicine is seeking a Nurse Educator to join the perioperative leadership team, responsible for designing and implementing educational programs for OR nursing staff. Applicants must possess an RN license in New York and hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. A Master’s in Nursing or Education and CNOR certification are required, along with relevant experience in an OR setting.
Qualifications
- Must possess Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) and Master’s in Nursing or Education required.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of recent experience in an OR setting, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Certification as Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) is mandatory.
Responsabilités
- Designs, implements, and evaluates educational programs for OR nursing staff.
- Fosters a culture of continuous learning in surgical care.
- Develops orientation programs for newly hired perioperative nurses.
- Plans ongoing competency assessments for surgical staff.
