• Complete defined scope and standards of practice.
• Engage in environmental scanning to identify practice gaps.
• Collaborate with others to improve practice and healthcare outcomes.
• Function as a learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, and leader.
• Support learning, change, professional role competence, and growth.
• Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs for OR nursing staff.
• Develop and deliver orientation programs for newly hired perioperative nurses and surgical technologists.
• Plan and coordinate ongoing competency assessments.
• Design continuing education programs based on evidence-based practice.

Requirements

Education:

• BSN required, Master's in Nursing or Education required

Experience:

• 3–5 years of recent experience in an OR setting, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma Center

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current RN License in New York
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) required
