Hartford Hospital has implemented a comprehensive transition to practice program for novice operating room nurses. This 12-month program is designed to help new graduate and experienced nurses (without OR experience) master the necessary competencies for perioperative nursing through a blended learning approach, including evidence-based modules, classroom learning, simulation, and clinical experiences.
The program starts with cohort dates on August 11, 2025, and November 3, 2025, with application deadlines on June 27, 2025, and September 19, 2025, respectively. Candidates must submit a complete online application, resume, and cover letter explaining their interest and career goals in perioperative nursing.
