Job summary

Mercy in St. Louis seeks a Nurse Manager for the Main Operating Room to provide 24-hour leadership in a high-volume surgical services environment. The role supports patient safety, quality, and operational excellence.

The Manager will partner with interdisciplinary teams, drive staff engagement, and oversee staffing, competency, and performance initiatives. BSN is required; CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• BSN degree or higher
• Progressive perioperative leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of a high-volume surgical services department.
• Develop staffing plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and patient satisfaction.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to improve workflow.
• Monitor quality metrics and implement evidence-based practices.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and retain perioperative staff.
• Support professional development and competency management.
