Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare seeks a Staff Nurse to join the Operating Room team. The position is a 1.0 FTE with 8-hour day/night rotating shifts, every 4th weekend, and on-call per unit policy.

The OR comprises 21 full-service suites, supporting General, Pediatric, Neurosurgical, Orthopedic, and more, performing over 11,000 procedures annually. Excellent teamwork and patient-centered care are emphasized across the unit.

Qualifications

• 2 years of recent OR circulating experience as an RN
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Possession of a valid RN license issued by the State of Minnesota

Responsibilities

• Protecting, promoting, and optimizing health
• Preventing illness and injury
• Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
• Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
• Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
