Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to support the Operating Room, coordinating the surgical team and ensuring optimal perioperative nursing care and patient advocacy.

The state-of-the-art facility includes 34 operating rooms with IMRI and an endovascular suite. The role requires flexibility for day/evening shifts, weekends, and on-call, with TN sponsorship available.

Qualifications

• Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
• BLS certification required on hire and maintained.
• Graduate of nursing program; BSN preferred but not required.
• Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• One year of RN experience preferred.
• Must live within driving distance to campus for 45-minute on-call requirement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and patient/family education.
• Coordinate transitions of care and patient advocacy.
• Lead and delegate according to skill level, patient acuity and resources.
• Mentor and participate in committees and quality improvement activities.
