Lowell General Hospital in Lowell, MA, seeks an RN Educator for the Operating Room to promote nursing excellence, advance professional practice, and support ongoing staff education. This full-time, day-shift role emphasizes applying nursing theory to clinical practice and coordinating educational activities across the unit.

Candidates must hold Massachusetts RN licensure, a BSN, at least 3 years of RN experience, and BLS. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Formación

• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• 3 years of RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Master’s Degree in Health Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts a comprehensive evaluation of all educational activities and utilizes this data for future programming.
• Collaborates with leadership and staff to develop and evaluate educational programs.
• Develops content and strategies to meet learning needs.
• Coordinates orientation of nursing staff to the organization/unit.
• Provides educational opportunities that benefit nurses at all stages of their career.
• Delivers competence-based programs for nursing staff with a focus upon improvement of skills and retention of knowledge.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of educational programming.
• Evaluates and makes recommendations about Performance Improvement issues relevant to areas of nursing practice and patient care.
• Encourages and promotes collaboration between staff members and hospital departments.
• Acts as a role model for clinical excellence and promotion of professional practice.
• Assists in clinical problem-solving and the development of critical thinking skills.
• Maintains a current level of clinical expertise.
• Collaborates with leadership to recommend educational strategies for the implementation clinical standards.
• Consults with staff regarding individual learning needs.
• Responds to changes in nursing practice and develops programs to support those changes.
• Leads committees and/or projects related to the implementation of educational activities.
