Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to support surgical and procedural services. The role acts as a liaison among clinical teams, vendors, sterile processing, and supply chain partners to ensure product availability and procedural readiness.

The position requires 2-3 years of experience in materials management or implant/tissue management, and a high school diploma is acceptable. The role includes handling back orders, replenishment, and inventory reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates implant, tissue, instrumentation, and specialty product requests to support surgical and procedural case readiness.
  • Collaborates with clinical staff, vendors, sterile processing, and supply chain partners to ensure timely delivery and availability of supplies.
  • Initiates and tracks requisitions for implants, tissues, instrumentation, and supplies to support readiness.
  • Maintains inventory locations, organization, rotation, labeling, and storage integrity.
  • Monitors inventory levels, par levels, product utilization, and accuracy; initiates replenishment and escalates concerns to minimize shortages.
  • Investigates and resolves product, inventory, and supply issues affecting scheduled and emergent cases; escalates when needed.
  • Coordinates communication related to back orders, substitutions, delayed deliveries, and continuity issues across clinical areas.
  • Supports inventory tracking and reconciliation using inventory management systems and RFID technology.
  • Serves as a resource to clinical teams regarding inventory status and supply continuity.
