Baptist Health in Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Operating Room Liaison to support the Main Operating Room at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This full-time day position located at our Downtown Campus runs Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 3:00pm.

The role prefers Surgical Technologist and Sterile Processing Technician knowledge. You will coordinate OR and Central Sterile Services, participate in process improvements, and ensure patient care safety and compliance with current

• High School Diploma required.
• CRCST certification within one year.
• CSPDT certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinates daily activities between the OR and Central Sterile Services to improve case flow.
• Assists in projects and process improvement initiatives aligned with policies and goals.
• Promotes customer service and satisfaction through training and education.
• Maintains knowledge of cleaning, assembling, packaging, and sterilization per IFUs, AAMI, and IACHSMM standards.
• Demonstrates awareness of safety and follows facility safety policies, including bloodborne pathogens.
• Keeps knowledge current on aseptic techniques and microbiology related to sterile supplies.
• Attends training on new sterilization practices and developments.
• Sterilizes OR instrumentation in the OR area.

This position will be a full time days position at out Downtown Campus with Monday through Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm. This position prefers both Surgical Technologist and Sterile Processing Technician knowledge and experience.

As An Operating Room Liaison, Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Coordinates and oversees daily activities between the Operating Room (OR) and Central Sterile Services Department to facilitate efficient case flow.
• Assists in projects and process improvement initiatives in compliance with policies and procedures, goals, objectives and initiatives.
• Promotes customer service and satisfaction through training, education, and resolution of staff and physician issues and concerns.
• Maintains knowledge of cleaning, assembling, packaging, & sterilization of instruments and equipment according to the IFUs, A.A.M.I, and IACHSMM current standards.
• Demonstrates awareness of personal and work area safety at all times; using evidence based practices and complying with facility safety policies and procedures in carrying out duties include those for blood borne pathogens and communicable diseases.
• Must keep knowledge current on aseptic techniques and basic microbiology sufficient to understand the ways diseases and infections are transmitted and the importance of clean and sterile supplies in patient care;
• Attend training in new and improved sterilization practices and developments in the microbiology, bacteriology, and therapeutic practices as they affect the sterile supply operation.
• Sterilizes OR instrumentation in the OR area.

Experience Requirements

• 1-2 years Surgical Technologist Experience

Education & Credential Requirements

• High School Diploma Required
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) within one year
• Certification Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) Preferred

This Operating Room Liaison supporting the Main Operating Room will be located at Baptist Jacksonville. Baptist Jacksonville is a designated Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for excellence in patient care.
