Summary

Produces diagnostic-quality images across various hospital locations based on patient status and location, including emergency rooms, inpatient rooms, and radiology departments. Provides diagnostic radiologic imaging under physician supervision, adhering to radiation safety standards, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Performs imaging in the operating room using designated equipment, following safety and sterile techniques.

Job Duties

• Safely moves imaging equipment in the OR, turns on and adjusts equipment such as portables, hybrid rooms, C-Arms, and O-arms.
• Ensures prompt submission of images and documentation before PACS upload.
• Uses appropriate exposure factors, collimation, lead shielding, and maintains proper distance.
• Documents procedure details such as LMP, fluoro time, mGy, and room time; attaches correct exams to patient records within 30 minutes.
• Performs radiologic images according to department standards and surgeon requests, correctly labeling anatomy.
• Prepares contrast injectors, verifies settings under surgeon supervision.
• Coordinates daily duties within the team, managing exam timing within guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned to ensure department efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

• Technical School Diploma from an accredited Radiography program or equivalent.
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve problems.
• Effective communication skills for report building and information conveyance.
• Knowledge of medical technology and terminology.
• Skill in data collection and analysis.
• Knowledge of anatomy.
• RT - Registered Technologist Radiology in Pennsylvania upon hire.
• American Heart Association BLS certification in Pennsylvania within 180 days.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Health Science or related field.

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 40-50 lbs., assist with patient transfers, stand/walk frequently, and perform role-specific activities such as kneeling, bending, squatting, and CPR as required.
