Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an experienced OR Scheduler/Scheduler Lead with a BSN and CNOR to organize daily operating room assignments. This role collaborates across surgeons, anesthesia, nursing and support services to ensure on-time case starts and smooth patient flow.

Qualified candidates will have RN licensure in MA, CNOR, and BLS; leadership and strong communication skills are essential for proactive scheduling and issue resolution in a dynamic OR environment.

Qualifications

• BSN is required and RN MA license is required.
• CNOR credentialing is required.
• BLS/CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Constructs assignments with OR Service Group Managers based on patient, surgeon and anesthesiology requirements.
• Monitors on-time case starts for elective and assigned urgent/emergent cases.
• Maintains active communication among surgeons, anesthesia, nursing, sterile processing and other departments to ensure schedule progression and issue resolution.
• Works to maintain the daily elective schedule by implementing accurate plans and addressing urgent access.
• Proactively reviews future schedules and coordinates with OR Managers and anesthesiologists for scheduling adjustments.
