Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking an OR Scheduling RN to plan, direct, and optimize daily operating room schedules for perioperative patients. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, nursing, and supporting services to ensure smooth case flow.

Ideal candidates will hold a BSN, MA RN license, CNOR, and BLS/CPR certification, with prefered 3 years in an OR and demonstrated leadership.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Massachusetts RN license required.
• CNOR credential preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and control daily OR schedule activities for perioperative patients.
• Monitor on-time case starts for elective and urgent/emergent cases.
• Maintain communication among surgeons, anesthesia, nursing, sterile processing and other departments.
• Maintain daily elective schedule and address urgent schedule access per pre-established plans.
• Review future schedules and coordinate adjustments with OR Service Group Managers and anesthesiologists.
