Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is recruiting an OR Nurse to serve as Circulator/Scrub in the Operating Room at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. The role involves organizing and delivering individualized nursing care in line with hospital policies and OR standards.

Requirements include a valid CT RN license, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months if not already held. Prior acute care and surgical experience are preferred; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid CT RN License.
• BLS Certification required; ACLS to be obtained within 6 months if not possessed.
• 1 year of acute care, two years surgical experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians and staff.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• The OR Nurse functions as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room.
• Provides professional patient care in accordance with hospital standards and guidelines.
• Participates in patient teaching and quality improvement activities.
