Stormont-Vail HealthCare in Topeka, KS seeks a Perioperative Nurse to provide direct care across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and patient education during surgery with anesthesia. The role collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia, and sterile processing, administering medications and ensuring adherence to surgical safety protocols.

12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, non-exempt; Kansas RN licensure and BLS required.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Registered Nurse licensure in Kansas (KSBN) or multistate license accepted.
• Ability to perform medication calculations and escalate as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
• Adhere to Universal Protocol; maintain sterile environment and surgical counts.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia team, and perioperative staff.
• Document patient data accurately and maintain records per policy.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
