Job summary

Twin Cities Orthopedics is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at the Plymouth surgery center. The casual role supports the OR team with instrument and supply management, aseptic technique, and patient care from induction through emergence.

Responsibilities include preparing the room, assisting anesthesia, administering medications, and ensuring patient safety. Must hold MN or WI RN licensure and BLS, with OR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• NLN‑accredited nursing program required, BSN preferred.
• RN license MN or WI multi‑state required.
• OR experience in last 5 years preferred (1+ year).
• AORN membership preferred.
• BLS certification required or provided on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess instrumentation, supplies, and equipment needs for procedures.
• Prepare the surgical suite and obtain equipment as needed.
• Maintain aseptic environment throughout intraoperative care.
• Assist with selecting supplies and instrumentation based on surgeon cards.
• Document patient status and responses to interventions.
• Administer meds and manage labeling and specimen handling.

Education

NLN accredited nursing program

BSN preferred

RN licensure MN or WI multi‑state

OR experience 1+ year

AORN membership preferred

BLS certification required or to be completed on hire
