Job summary

Redefine Healthcare in Jersey City, NJ is seeking an OR Circulator Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time and per diem roles. You will provide nursing care before, during, and after procedures, serve as the OR Circulator, ensure patient safety, and maintain sterile procedure rooms.

Responsibilities include pre-operative assessments, intraoperative monitoring, post-procedure education, and accurate documentation in SIS EMR.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in: Operating Room, Procedure Room, Ambulatory Surgery Center, or similar procedural setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients before, during, and after procedures
• Serve as the OR Circulator, ensuring patient safety and advocacy at all times
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies, ensuring cleanliness, functionality, and sterility
• Perform pre-operative assessments, including IV insertion, vital signs, medication administration, and medical history documentation
• Monitor patients throughout procedures in collaboration with physicians, anesthesia, and procedural staff
• Accurately document procedural events in SIS EMR
• Provide post-procedure monitoring, patient education, and discharge instructions
• Communicate patient status updates to family members as appropriate
• Ensure compliance with infection control policies and regulatory standards
• Maintain procedure room readiness and oversee patient, staff, and vendor traffic to reduce infection risk
• Respect patient rights to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
