Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Circulator for Tate Surgery on a full-time days schedule. Monday-Friday, 8-10 hour days with hours varying by case volume. No on-call.

Join a dedicated team on the Medical-Surgical unit, delivering high-quality patient care using the nursing process and collaborating across disciplines. Ideal candidates hold an active RN license in the state, with a BSN preferred, and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS and PALS are required.
• Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Documents care in the medical record in a timely, accurate manner.
• Completes and revises the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate quality improvement assessments.
• Provides direct care on the Medical-Surgical unit using the nursing process.
• Communicates with care team and patient/family to support safe outcomes.
• Maintains attendance and may assume on-call assignments.
• Pre and post operative care of patients.
