Job summary

Crown Point Surgical Suites invites qualified RNs to join our operating room team as OR Circulator RN. The role entails patient positioning, prepping, and circulating during surgery, with responsibilities spanning assessment, planning, and execution of perioperative care for all ages.

Successful candidates will demonstrate nursing judgment, leadership and teaching capabilities, with at least one year of intra-operative experience and an active RN license (PA).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in PA.
• BLS, ACLS, or PALS required upon hire and within one year of hire.
• Ability to scrub and circulate as needed.
• One year experience in intra-operative setting.

Responsibilities

• Positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for all age patients in the operating room.
• Communicate with physicians, patients, family members, and team members during cases.
• Adhere to nursing standards of practice and Center policies.

Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

The OR RN provides nursing care and service during surgery cases and will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case. The OR RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for all age patients in the operating room, provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center, makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs, and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and personnel in other departments as well as team members. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Nurse Manager of the Operating Room and/or Director of Nursing, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees and participating in quality improvement audits and projects.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in PA
• BLS, ACLS, or PALS required upon hire and required within one year of hiring date

• One year experience required in an intra-operative setting
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities. Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position
