Job summary

Crown Point Surgical Suites in Crown Point, IN is seeking an OR Circulator RN to provide perioperative nursing care during surgical cases. You will position and prep patients, circulate the case, and ensure safety and quality in the operating room.

The role requires an active RN license, completion of RN nursing program, and BLS/ACLS/PALS. Prior intra-operative experience is preferred; responsibilities include communication with physicians and colleagues and contributing to quality improvement

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, or PALS required upon hire.
• Ability to scrub and circulate as needed.
• One year experience required in an intra‑operative setting.
• Decision-making based on nursing judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and service during surgical cases.

The OR RN provides nursing care and service during surgical cases. Responsibilities include positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case. The OR RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for all age patients in the operating room, while adhering to nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center. The role also involves making decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicating appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and personnel in other departments, as well as team members. Additional responsibilities may be designated by the Nurse Manager of the Operating Room and/or Director of Nursing, which include participating in committees, quality improvement audits, and projects.

Qualifications
