Job summary

New Mexico Multispecialty Surgery Center @ Presbyterian Rust ASC is seeking a Charge Nurse to lead OR staff and coordinate daily case flow. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, instrument/equipment ordering, and performance improvement within the OR and radiology teams.

Qualified candidates will have RN licensure, 3 years in surgery, and BLS/ACLS/PALS; CNOR is preferred. The organization offers a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• RN licensed with accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred or related experience.
• Minimum three years in surgery.
• Current State RN License required.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certification required.
• CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise OR staff to ensure smooth flow of cases.
• Coordinate daily case scheduling in the OR and radiology.
• Prepare monthly call schedules and staff meetings.
• Communicate with physicians to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
• Order instruments, coordinate inventory, and assist with education.
• Coordinate and enter data in Kronos and EDGE systems.
• Support staffing, policies, and Joint Commission readiness.
