Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking an experienced maintenance mechanic to join its Engineering/Facility Mgmt team. The role focuses on maintaining operating room, post-anesthesia care unit, and central processing equipment to keep patient care safe and efficient.

Evening shift, Monday–Friday with weekend coverage, requires hands-on preventive and corrective maintenance, inventory control, and collaboration with clinical staff to meet regulatory and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience as a maintenance mechanic.
• Knowledge of sterilizers, lighting systems, and blanket warmers.
• Ability to calibrate, repair, and troubleshoot equipment.
• Familiar with blueprints and measurement instruments.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on operating room and post-anesthesia care unit equipment.
• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on central processing equipment.
• Maintains operating room, post-anesthesia care unit, and central processing parts inventory.
• Assists with transportation needs.
• Ensures educational requirements are met.
• Performs related responsibilities as required.
