Rochester Regional Health is seeking an OR Assistant to support the operating room team with organization, material handling, and patient transport at Rochester General Hospital. This 40-hour weekly role features 8-hour shifts from 7a to 7p, Monday through Friday, with weekend on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities include obtaining case cart supplies, maintaining a clean and safe peri-operative environment, assisting in room turnover, and helping move and position patients.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of patient care and/or operating room experience in an accredited hospital.
• Basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of aseptic technique.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• General Maintenance. Obtain supplies required for case carts and sub-sterile areas; responsible for cleanliness and safety of environment for all those within it; transport specimens, cultures and medications within the hospital
• Collaboration. Work with team to provide smooth workflow in peri-operative setting; work as a team to accomplish room turnover
• Patient Care. Assist in the transporting and positioning of patients as directed
