Job summary

Rochester Regional Health's Rochester General Hospital seeks an OR Material Tech to support the Operating Room with material management and case cart distribution. You will perform inventory checks and assist in maintaining a smooth workflow across OR areas.

Responsibilities include obtaining supplies, returning excess stock, building case carts, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and documenting inventory transactions in the system. Prior experience in OR or supply chain is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year operating room and/or supply chain experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Understanding of aseptic technique desired.
• Experience with mobile picking software preferred but not required.
• One year of materials handling or applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain supplies required for case carts and sub-sterile area.
• Ensure excess supplies are returned to inventory and support smooth OR workflow.
• Collaborate to build and turnover Case Carts within time frames.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of environment for team, staff and patients.
• Ensure par level replenishments are recorded in the inventory system.
• Keep case carts and racks neat and orderly.
• Log inventory discrepancies in the system and correct them.
• Verify incoming material against delivery documents.
• Report discrepancies to Inventory Lead or Materials Manager.
• Complete transactions to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Prioritize urgent shipments and document required information (Lot, Serial Number).
• Transport materials to designated areas with documentation.
