Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking an Anesthesia Tech for Rochester General Hospital. You will support the Anesthesia Department by managing equipment and supplies and assisting with daily operations of the OR.

This 20-hour-per-week position offers 8-hour shifts 6:00 am–5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with weekend on-call. A strong attention to detail and commitment to safety are essential; preferred candidates have prior anesthesia experience or a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Previous anesthesia experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Management. Maintain all anesthesia equipment; manage quality control by recognizing malfunctioning equipment and taking necessary action; perform minor equipment repairs and preventive maintenance
• Procedure Assistance. Prepare anesthesia equipment and supplies for use; calibrate and check equipment accurately before each use; assist with procedures as assigned; stock anesthesia carts with extremely high-risk medications (may handle meds, sharps and syringes); maintain a clean, safe and adequately supplied workroom
• Maintains Ideal Working Operations. Contribute to maintenance of supply inventory, ensure there are adequate levels of available supplies and complete monthly pharmacy inspections.
