Job summary

UW Medical Center – Northwest is hiring for an OR Assistant on a full-time, day-shift basis in Seattle. The role includes room turnover, patient and specimen transport, and ensuring patient safety during care. CNA certification in Washington and prior intraoperative or housekeeping experience are preferred.

The position offers a 40-hour workweek with a day shift from 09:00 to 17:30 and various hospital support duties in the operating rooms.

Qualifications

• CNA certification within the State of Washington is strongly preferred.
• Prior intraoperative experience as an aide or orderly, or hospital housekeeping experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with room turnover and housekeeping in the OR area.
• Transport patients and specimens; assist with repositioning and transfers.
• Ensure patient safety through proper bed positioning and rails.
• Assist in cleaning and preparing the surgical suite; help establish par levels for supplies.
