Job summary

UW Medical Center Northwest – Operating Rooms in Seattle seeks an OR Assistant to support turnover, cleaning the surgical suite, and transporting patients and specimens. CNA certification in WA and prior intraoperative or housekeeping experience are valued.

Responsibilities include establishing par levels for supplies, ensuring patient safety, and assisting with transfers as needed in a busy OR environment. This is a full-time, day-shift position in Seattle, WA.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • CNA certification in Washington State.
  • Prior intraoperative experience or hospital housekeeping experience.

The UW MEDICAL CENTER – NORTHWEST - OPERATING ROOMS have an outstanding opportunity for an OR Assistant.

WORK SCHEDULE
  • Full-Time / 40 Hours Per Week
  • Day Shift (0900-1730)
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
  • Be responsible for assisting with room turnover, housekeeping duties in the assigned area of the OR, transportation of patients, and transport of specimens
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in cleaning and preparing surgical suite
  • Assist in establishing par levels for ancillary supplies
  • Transport, and assist with repositioning and/or transfer of patients
  • Ensure safety of the patient in the environment (bed positioning and rails, etc.)
  • Deliver specimens and transports blood products

Strong candidates will have CNA certification within the State of Washington and prior intraoperative experience as an aide or orderly, or hospital housekeeping experience.
