Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate anesthesia technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preoperative: ensure anesthesia carts and machines are ready; retrieve requested anesthesia supplies; assist in preparing equipment for hemodynamic monitoring; ensure monitoring equipment and supplies are ready; verify anesthesia machine readiness and perform daily inspections; may assist in patient positioning.
• Intraoperative: ensure availability of blood product equipment; assist in positioning for spinal anesthesia; assist with IV/arterial line care; assist during intubation/extubation; restock supplies; disinfect equipment per policies; perform rounds after procedures.
• Postoperative: clean and maintain anesthesia equipment; inventory and order supplies; run errands for anesthesia team; troubleshoot equipment; ensure proper discharge and biohazard handling.
