Position Summary:

Utilize independent judgment to provide CT services to patients, adhering to all departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  2. Explain procedures and processes to patients.
  3. Operate imaging equipment, determine exposure factors based on patient-specific parameters, and adjust controls to produce optimal images.
  4. Practice radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  5. Perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiology procedures.
  6. Process and review images for quality and proper identification.
  7. Prepare images for radiologist or physician review.
  8. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and coordinate repairs of radiologic equipment.
  9. Provide CT diagnostic services, operating imaging and related equipment as required.
  10. Follow established protocols for each scan.
  11. Demonstrate proper operation of CT equipment.
  12. Adhere to all scanning and filming protocols.
