Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of health technician experience or education in health care field.
• Successful completion of two academic years above high school with relevant health tech courses or an associate degree.
• Equivalent combinations of experience and education are qualifying.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily health technician (optometry) duties and staff tasks.
• Assist eye care providers with ophthalmic procedures and imaging.
• Address patient questions and assist with eye care education.
• Coordinate disinfection and management of eye clinic equipment.
• Develop and train health technicians to ensure competency.
