Job summary

The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System in Warren, Ohio, is seeking a Lead Health Technician (Optometry) to lead three or more GS-7 health technicians and provide oversight in the eye clinic. This position concentrates on ensuring efficient clinic flow, patient care quality, and staff coordination in optometry services.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The posted pay range is $58,350 to $75,852 per year, with potential for higher steps based on qualifications;

Qualifications

• Education recognized by US Department of Education for Federal employment.
• If using foreign education, submit a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with transcript.

Responsibilities

• Leads three or more GS-7 health technicians (optometry) and oversees technician oversight duties.
• Make work assignments and monitor workflow.
• Provide input on performance and maintain efficient clinic flow.
• Address patient complaints and oversee eye clinic RME disinfection activities and staff training.
