The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for a Lead Health Technician. The Lead Health Technician will function in Optometry Service. This position is located in Warren, Ohio.
The lead health technician (optometry) leads three or more GS-7 health technicians (optometry) and assists with technician oversight duties.
Duties include but are not limited to: Making work assignments Monitoring workflow Providing input on performance Maintaining efficient clinic flow Address patient complaints and/or concerns, as well as patient health technician (optometry) relationships Oversees eye clinic reusable medical equipment (RME) disinfection activities, including research, ordering, and staff training to ensure RME competency Provides staff education and training activities to ensure staff competency in eye and vision care duties and tasks Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Recruitment/Relocation Incentives (Sign-on Bonus): Not Authorized Permanent Change of Station (Relocation Assistance): Not Authorized Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade).
