Job summary

MRG EXAMS is seeking an Optometrist to perform disability assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of VA's process. This in-person role is focused on exams, not treatment, with thorough review of records and accurate documentation.

The position offers a structured, 1 day/week schedule, a predictable caseload, and training and ongoing support. Malpractice coverage is provided, with no on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Active optometry license required.
• Proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT) and electronic records.
• Strong time management and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans.
• Review electronic medical records via secure web portal.
• Perform comprehensive eye exams with Visual Field Testing.
• Document findings and complete VA forms accurately.
• No treatment or prescribing; evaluations determine VA decisions.
