Job summary

MRG EXAMS seeks a dedicated Optometrist to perform disability assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA process. This is a non-treating, non-determination role focused on assessments, with in-person duties and access to a secure web portal for records review.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, adherence to VA forms, and a compassionate, professional approach to Veterans, with a typical caseload of 4–6 per day and provided equipment.

Qualifications

• Active & unrestricted Optometry license.
• Proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT).
• Comfortable using technology to review records and complete documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans.
• Review and analyze electronic medical records via a secure web portal.
• Perform thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT).
• Accurately document exam findings and complete the required VA forms.
• Note: This role does not involve treatment or prescribing medication.
